Mare St Clinic is now providing COVID-19 PCR Tests in East London. This can be at your personal residence, work place, hotel or at our clinic.

Please do not book for this test if you have symptoms. This test is not suitable for those who have COVID-19 like symptoms or for those who have had symptoms up to 28 days prior to the test – those that fall into this criteria should follow all government guidance regarding self-isolation and testing via the NHS.

A negative COVID-19 PCR test may be required for both. that is why we provide an exceptional service offering PCR testing that is carried out  in the comfort and safety of your own home. You may also receive a fit to fly certificate for no extra charge when requested.

Airlines and countries across the world are requesting that travellers get the COVID-19 PCR test. This tests works to detect the presence of a COVID-19 infection before symptoms have begun to show and therefore controls the amount of infected people travelling and spreading the virus. 

​

Our Home PCR Test is carried out by an expert in the comfort of your own home. All of our staff are fully equipped with the right Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure you and your loved ones are safe and sound whilst getting tested. 

​

A proof of identity will be required prior to having your sample taken. This can be an ID Card, Passport (required for travel certificate), driver’s license or residents permit. Unfortunately we will not be able to assist you if you do not have any legal identification on you.

** Important Notice **

​

For clarification, the timing of receiving your antigen (PCR) results will generally be between 24-48 hours after your test is received by the laboratory. Generally we get 90% of results back to people in 24 hours however things such as capacity at the laboratory, Royal Mail Delays and test re-runs can mean results take slightly longer. We are not liable for any other associated costs should your results be delayed.

** We shall not be liable if the results of your test are not received before your scheduled travel arrangements and it is your responsibility to ensure that you book for the Services in advance of your scheduled travel arrangements to allow sufficient time to receive the results. Test results should normally be available within 72hrs of having the test.

How Long does it take to get my results?

​

Please read the instructions included with your kit extremely carefully. Send the test back by Royal Mail Pre-paid Tracked 24 return envelope (Included) to the address on the instructions, or by any courier service that will deliver a Category B sample. Once the laboratory receives the test, the results will be available in 24 to 48 hours.

Before you get tested we strongly advise that:

​

- Nothing can go in the mouth for at least 2 hours prior to testing, this includes: food, drinks, cigarettes, chewing gum, etc.

 

- Mouthwash not to be used for 24 hours.

 

- Nothing can go in the nose for at least 24 hours prior to testing, this includes: nasal medication, saline, hay fever sprays, cotton buds, etc.

 

All of the above can inhibit the sample and mean that it needs to be retested or may not enable a conclusive result to be delivered.
